My two girls have these in different colors (THANK YOU MNC for making cute matchy dresses for toddlers and big girls!!) and wear them about once a week.
As with some other Ruffle Dresses, the bottom ruffle is sewn onto a see-through built in crinoline layer, which adds a bit of nice volume but does mean you have to watch out not to let the upper skirt fly up. The crinoline is not scratchy. The pockets are too low to easily put hands in, more of a decoration.
